Product Description
Five Elephant started collaborating with Finca Majahual back in 2016 and has been buying coffee from the farm ever since.
This particular lot of natural processed Red Bourbon is the result of having a small amount of coffee processed on the farm’s premises instead of delivering it to a washing station.
In order to find sufficient space for setting up drying beds the Murray-Meza family decided to strike a collaboration with the teachers at La Cumbre elementary school. Using the school’s basketball courts as a processing station, they were able to process enough coffee to sell as its own lot. The proceeds have been reinvested in the school's infrastructure, such as building a new computer lab.
The first lot of La Cancha was produced back in 2019, and results were so good that they kept production going in the following years; thus being a shining example of Finca Majahual’s motto - coffee growing people.
